Summer 2 Week 2

This week in Reception the children have enjoyed celebrating the Queen's birthday.  They have enjoyed writing cards and sending letters to the Queen. They even had a surprise visit from the Queen this afternoon.

In Mathematics,  we have been learning about weight and capacity through various practical activities.  They particularly enjoyed using their mathematical skills this morning to make some cupcakes.

We had a lovely celebratory lunch with the whole school to celebrate the Queens birthday

This afternoon the children took part in several Olympic activities in their house groups, which included football, throwing bean bags, races, skipping, hula hooping, egg and spoon and ladder jumping.

Next week we will be continuing our theme of the Queen by looking at different types of buildings, in particular, castles.  In mathematics, we will look at the sequence of numbers and place value.

Dates to remember next week

Tuesday 14th June - Class Photo's
Friday 17th June Mufti day
Saturday 18th June - Summer Fair

Enjoy Your weekend.
