Wow! What a busy and exciting week we have had in Reception.
On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day. The children came dressed in a wide variety of different characters from books. The children took part in several Literacy activities both indoors and outdoors. Thank you to Mrs Miles for sharing books with the children.
Yesterday the children were very excited to present their assembly. They delivered it with great enthusiasm and confidence and they should be very proud of their achievement.
Some other activities we have been involved in this week.
Next week we will be continuing our topic of ‘Change’ by learning about changes in food. In Mathematics, we will be starting to look at the size, shape and value of different coins. We will be setting up a supermarket in our role play area, so we would welcome any empty food boxes or cartons (for example, biscuits or cereal boxes) that you no longer need.
In R.E, we will be introducing our new topic on 'Growing', by looking for signs of spring.
A reminder for next week - we have consultation meetings on Monday and Tuesday evenings. I look forward to meeting with you all.
Enjoy your weekend.
