Summer 2: week 4

This week we enjoyed exploring the theme of Pirates:

In maths we revisited money and in literacy we wrote our own 'Pirate Wanted posters'.

In RE we started our new topic 'Our World' we went on a senses walk and we wrote down what we love most about the world God created.

Summer 2: week 3

This week we looked at the theme of Ponds. The weather was sunny and we made several trips to our school pond recording  what we found. We then wrote a recount of our findings:

During maths we looked at data handling. We explored tally and bar graphs and completed our own charts by observing modes of transport from our school car park:

In RE we finished our topic of friends. We made salt dough figures of ourselves and placed them in friendship circles.

Summer 2: week 2

We have had a busy week in reception full of activities, including class photographs, Mass and Sports day.

In literacy we listened to the story of the rainbow fish, We wrote a letter to the Rainbow fish asking him to share his scales. We also designed our own colourful fish.

In maths we revisited doubling and halving. We used our knowledge of counting in different units to calculate some large numbers.
